Approval steps:

1. A pilot project management team (PPMT) comprising representatives from more than one stage of production along the value chain e.g. a farmer and a processor or a processor and exporter) convene and jointly formulate a pilot project proposal. Click to download concept template. The project concept must be presented 10 days prior to an apex committee meeting held monthly.

2. The proposal will be reviewed and approved by the apex committee. The proposal should reflect the vision, objectives and goals of the industry wide strategy.

3. Upon a approval the PPMT formulates a comprehensive project implementation  proposal Click to download project proposal format

4. PPMT forwards the completed project proposal to MGMT for appraisal and Apex final review

5. MGMT invites and selects eligible BDS provider’s for the services identified in the project proposal

6. The MSME Competitiveness Project Management Contractor signs contracts with BDS providers to start project implementation.
