The results of the value chain analysis provides solutions and recommend interventions concerning policy and administrative reforms as well as physical infrastructure needs with the greatest impact on efficiency along the supply chains.

It also recommends concrete project interventions to improve domestic productivity and strengthen forward and backward business linkages between SMEs and larger export-oriented companies, as well as possibilities for integration of the domestic private sector with the regional and global supply chains where applicable. These recommendations will be integrated into the PSD strategy for Kenya for improving competitiveness in the economy and a regional logistics strategy.
